Traditional Method Quality Sparkling Wine Served in Rick Stein's world famous Seafood Restaurant and in all of Cornwall's Michelin Starred Restaurants.
A fresh and fruity fizz, perfect for all celebrations. As yet this newly released vintage is untried in competition but previous vintages have won Gold medals including the only British Gold in the 2005 International Wine Challenge presented at VINEXPO in Bordeaux.
Camel Valley Vineyards are situated on the sunny slopes above the River Camel - halfway between the Atlantic and Channel coasts. Traditional vineyard practices combined with a New World approach to wine making ensure high quality red, white and sparkling wines from the 8000 vines growing outside on the south-facing side of the Camel Valley.
The area's mild climate, concentration of clear sunlight, and pure air give Camel Valley wines a distinctive fresh Cornish style. The wines have won numerous awards including the 1999 UKVA President's Trophy for the best wine of any vintage, class or style, the 2001 English Wine Producer's Trophy and 2 International Wine Challenge awards. They have been used to represent Cornwall at the House of Lords, the Southampton Boat Show, CBI Conference and many other prestigious events at home and abroad. Recently they have been used to commemorate Eden's millionth visitor, for a reception at Eden for HRH Prince Charles, for a reception for HM the Queen, to lay the stone for Cornwall's new University, to open the new stand at Plymouth Argyle FC, at the American Embassy, and at many Cornish weddings and receptions where 'Champagne' is just too down market and only 'Cornwall' will do!
The crisp clean white wines enhance the flavours of many fish and white meat dishes, and also make an excellent aperitif. Camel Valley red wines are fresh and fruity with a wonderful aroma, while Camel Valley Brut is Cornwall's first and finest, and only gold medal winning, sparkling wine. Made in the traditional method, "Cornwall" is perfect for all celebrations. All the wines are suitable for vegetarians.
The beautiful setting is bettered only by the quality of wine on offer: this vineyard was voted Times/Waitrose Drinks Producer of the Year 2002.
